Basketball Game Preview: Chickasaw Chieftains vs. Washington County Bulldogs

Chickasaw hasn't had much luck against Washington County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chickasaw Chieftains will challenge the Washington County Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Chickasaw was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to St. Luke's Episcopal. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Washington County played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 52-30 to St. Luke's Episcopal. The Bulldogs were down 43-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Washington County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Chickasaw, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Chickasaw took a serious blow against Washington County in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 64-21. Can Chickasaw avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
