Basketball Recap: Red Mesa Redskins vs. St. Michael Cardinals
The Red Mesa Redskins lost against the St. Michael Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Red Mesa took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.
Red Mesa's loss came despite strong showings from Daleni Nakai and Shyla Pipkin. Nakai almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Pipkin scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Red Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for St. Michael, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-10.
Red Mesa will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Williams focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. St. Michael does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
