Baseball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 22-0 to the Western Guilford Hornets. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 16-4 to the Hornets when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Western Guilford, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Lexington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 33-21 win against Parkland on the 12th. As for Western Guilford, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-0 loss against Northwest Guilford on the 7th.
