Volleyball Game Preview: St. Mary's Knights vs. Cactus Shadows Falcons + Official Tickets

The St. Mary's Knights will square off against the Cactus Shadows Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

St. Mary's took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Mesquite, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights won by a set and slipped past the Wildcats 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted against the Wildcats since October 17, 2022.

St. Mary's was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 15-25, 23-25, 25-13, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Cactus Shadows made easy work of Marcos de Niza on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Padres recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-21.

St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Cactus Shadows, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.

St. Mary's came out on top in a nail-biter against Cactus Shadows in their previous matchup on October 8th, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
