Softball Recap: Whitnall Comes Up Short

If Whitnall was riding high fresh off their 21-2 takedown of Cudahy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell just short of the South Milwaukee Rockets by a score of 9-8 on Thursday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Whitnall's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for South Milwaukee, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Whitnall has already played their next matchup (against Milwaukee Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Milwaukee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-0 win against Greenfield on the 21st.
