Telluride won the last time they faced Ridgway and things went their way on Thursday too. The Miners blew past the Demons 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Miners.

Telluride never let Ridgway on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-22.

Ella-Rose Aplin paced Telluride's offense, picking up 11 kills. Aplin got some help from Ella Metheny and her 12 assists. Metheny also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ford Fenton, each putting up two.

Telluride's record is now 9-4. As for Ridgway, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Telluride is set to challenge their familiar foe Mancos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Ridgway will take on rival Ignacio at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th.
