Basketball Recap: Stringer Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Stringer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 58-50 to the Puckett Wolves. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Puckett got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaleb Coleman out in front who posted 19 points. Coleman's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Matt Rankin was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Stringer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Puckett, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Stringer won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sylva Bay Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils' defense better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 56.6 points per game this season. As for Puckett, they will challenge West Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
