South Lenoir's game on Friday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over the Lejeune Devilpups.

When it comes to explaining why Lejeune lost, don't look at Grady Mahaffey. Despite the final result, he rushed for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

South Lenoir now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lejeune, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
