Softball Recap: Northwood Falcons vs. Loyola College Prep Flyers
Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Loyola College Prep Flyers. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Flyers earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Devan Ashby was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
