Flag Football Game Preview: Costa Mesa Mustangs vs. Katella Knights

The Costa Mesa Mustangs will face off against the Katella Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Katella took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Costa Mesa, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Costa Mesa didn't have too much trouble with Ocean View as they won 31-12. The Mustangs have beaten the Seahawks the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Seahawks has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Katella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Godinez Fundamental.

Costa Mesa's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Katella, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Costa Mesa was able to grind out a solid victory over Katella when the teams last played on Thursday, winning 19-6. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
