Beacon strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brandeis Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Blue Demons, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Beacon pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Brandeis, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Beacon and Brandeis will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Blue Demons see the field they'll take on Environmental at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Brandeis, their break will end when they face Norman Thomas at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st.
