Baseball Recap: Valley Christian Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Valley Christian hadn't done well against Making Waves Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Marlins. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered an 18-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

Valley Christian let Levi Delgado and Levi Heise run wild. Delgado got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Heise got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Heise has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Perryman, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Valley Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Valley Christian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Making Waves Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6-1.

Valley Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Marlins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
