Waldron hasn't had much luck against Hauser recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Waldron Mohawks will host the Hauser Jets at 7:30 p.m. Waldron is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.
Waldron will bounce into Friday's game after beating Jac-Cen-Del, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Waldron slipped by Jac-Cen-Del 41-40 on Saturday. The 41-point effort marked the Mohawks' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Waldron got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eli Stewart out in front who went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Douglas, who posted eight points.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hauser). They breezed by Shawe Memorial to the tune of 78-29 on Saturday. The Jets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.
Waldron better keep an eye on Collin Buck. He was instrumental in Hauser's win, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Keller, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points and five boards.
Hauser smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.
Hauser has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Waldron, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Waldron has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 25.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Hauser struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Waldron came up short against Hauser when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 40-34. Will Waldron have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
