Softball Recap: Auburn Riverside Takes a Loss

If Auburn Riverside was feeling good fresh off their 20-5 takedown of Mt. Rainier on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ravens fell just short of the Kentridge Chargers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Ravens have suffered since May 18, 2024.

Auburn Riverside got a good showing from Kylee Curtis, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Curtis has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sloan Cross made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Auburn Riverside's record is now 8-5. As for Kentridge, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
