Soccer Recap: North Raleigh Christian Academy Comes Up Short

North Raleigh Christian Academy managed to keep up with Cardinal Gibbons until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Knights lost 7-1 to the Crusaders. North Raleigh Christian Academy's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Alexi Astigarraga, who's now up to six this season.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Raleigh Christian Academy will square off against Greensboro Day School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will face off against Leesville Road at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Leesville Road will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cardinal Gibbons surely won't give up without a fight.
