St. Patrick is 10-0 against Maxwell since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The St. Patrick's Irish will face off against the Maxwell Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, St. Patrick's didn't have quite enough to beat Kearney Catholic and fell 47-45. The loss was the Irish's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Maxwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell to Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] 59-54.

St. Patrick's will need focus on slowing down Kole Jones, one of several Maxwell players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 18 points. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jesse Reyes, who had 12 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

St. Patrick's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Maxwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything came up roses for St. Patrick's against Maxwell when the teams last played back in February, as the team secured a 68-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Patrick's since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
