Hayfork hadn't done well against Trinity recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Timberjacks walked away with  a   3-1  win over the Wolves. For the Timberjacks, this counts as revenge for the   3-0 victory the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in October of 2024.
 Hayfork had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-23,  25-20.
 Sidney Medellin paced Hayfork's offense, picking up 15 kills. Medellin got some help from  Lydia Yarbrough and her 41 assists.  Riley Bayley controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
 Trinity's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Anna Bunce, who  had 20  kills, 11  digs,  and two  aces. Bunce has been hot, having  posted six or more  kills the last eight times she's  played.  Claire Cox was another key player,  getting eight  kills, seven  digs,  and three  aces.
Hayfork has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record  this season. As for Trinity,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-6.
 Looking ahead, Hayfork will head out to  challenge Butte Valley  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Trinity, they will host St. Bernard's  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
