 New Palestine is 8-1 against Perry Meridian since April of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The New Palestine Dragons will be playing at home against the Perry Meridian Falcons at 6:00  p.m. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 New Palestine took a loss when they played away from home  on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Thursday. They came out on top against Pendleton Heights by a score of  4-1.
  Rigg Mahurin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Mahurin has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Mahurin was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Mahurin wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Nic Deering, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Perry Meridian earned  a  7-4 win over Whiteland  on Wednesday. That's two games straight that Perry Meridian has won by  exactly three  runs.
  Jackson McDaniel looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits.
 At the plate,  Alex Acosta was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with four  stolen bases and  an  RBI.  Brayden Hurst was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing five bases.
 New Palestine's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Perry Meridian, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road.
