If Ayala was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Glendora last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Mater Dei Monarchs by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Ayala got a good showing from Isaac Huver, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Huver has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Ayala's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Mater Dei, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.
