Recap: Braddock Bulldogs vs. Sunset Knights

The Braddock Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 33 points or more this season. They blew past Sunset, posting a 52-19 victory on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Braddock.

Elsa Stier was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. Daniella Pujadas was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six steals.

When it comes to explaining why Sunset lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Alyssa Torrech. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with six steals. Torrech is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sunset struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Braddock has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Sunset, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Braddock won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mater Academy Charter at 3:30 p.m. on December 12th. Mater Academy Charter is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Sunset, they will head out on the road to face off against American at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (American is ranked 460th, while Sunset is ranked 462nd).
