Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwood). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Loyola College Prep Flyers 73-19. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Flyers are ranked 1503rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southwood is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points per game. As for Loyola College Prep, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
