Pearland's contest on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand the Shadow Creek Sharks a 3-0 shutout. Considering the Oilers have won nine games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Shadow Creek with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Parker Holloway, Kaelynn Pablo, and Anahi Gil.

The victory was the third in a row for Pearland, bringing their record for this year to 12-6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for Shadow Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4-2.

Coincidentally, Pearland and Shadow Creek will both be playing South Houston the next time they take the pitch. Shadow Creek will head out to face South Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pearland will host them at 7:30 p.m. on March 14th.
