Softball Recap: Fountain Central Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Fountain Central was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They came up short against the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers, falling 12-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered against the Chargin' Chargers since April 24, 2017.

Fountain Central's record now sits at 5-12. As for North Montgomery, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fountain Central will venture away from home to face off against Attica at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Red Ramblers at the right time seeing as the Red Ramblers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Montgomery, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lebanon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargin' Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
