Holly Hill Academy came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Cross, but Ladi Adeisa wouldn't allow it. The Cross Stingrays narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Holly Hill Academy Raiders 65-63 thanks in part to Adeisa, who went 7-for-9 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high.

Zach Nicastro was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals. He is becoming a predictor of Cross' success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 4-20 when he doesn't).

Despite the loss, Holly Hill Academy still got an impressive performance from Jody Gillam, who went 11-for-25 to rack up 34 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Gillam's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Soles, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Cross' victory bumped their record up to 6-21. As for Holly Hill Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Cross has already played their next game, a 51-38 win against Holy Trinity Classical Christian on the 12th. As for Holly Hill Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-44 victory against Crown Leadership Academy on the 12th.
