Volleyball Game Preview: Providence Pioneers vs. Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica Seawolves

The Providence Pioneers will head out to take on the Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica Seawolves at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Providence is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, Providence was able to grind out a solid win over AGBU, taking the game 3-1.

Providence had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica made easy work of Le Lycee on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Seawolves in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

While Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-23.

Providence's record now sits at 20-9. As for Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica, their record is now 22-4.

Providence couldn't quite get it done against Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Pioneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
