Resurrection Christian had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Frontier Academy Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Resurrection Christian took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-10, 25-14.

Brooklyn Diepersloot paced Resurrection Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Diepersloot got some help from Amanda Pardue and her 25 assists. Sadie Whyard controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Resurrection Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Frontier Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Resurrection Christian and Frontier Academy will both be playing Valley the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolverines will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
