Softball Recap: Beloit Memorial Takes a Loss

Beloit Memorial extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 6-15 in the process. They came up short against the Westosha Central Falcons, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that the Purple Knights have lost by exactly ten runs.

Beloit Memorial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evelynn Karr, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

As for Westosha Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games.

On Westosha Central's side, Mykenna Sturino was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Alex McKinney was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beloit Memorial will head out to take on Burlington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Purple Knights are facing the Demons at the right time seeing as the Demons are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Westosha Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Muskego at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
