Football Recap: Coshocton Comes Up Short

Coshocton had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 49-17 loss at the hands of the Meadowbrook Colts. The Redskins lost against the Colts in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 29-20 score last time.

As for Meadowbrook, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Michael Ray continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 224 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 43 yards and one touchdown. Brayden Black was another key player, rushing for 69 yards and one score.

Coshocton has already played their next contest, a 46-7 loss against Crooksville on the 10th. As for Meadowbrook, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-6 defeat against New Lexington on the 10th.
