Baseball Recap: Kankakee Kays vs. Coal City Coalers
Kankakee extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-22. They came up short against the Coal City Coalers, falling 10-0. The Kays were not able to make up for their loss to the Coalers from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.
As for Coal City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.
