Softball Recap: San Lorenzo Gets the Win

San Lorenzo's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Tennyson Lancers as San Lorenzo made off with a 22-8 victory. With that win, the Grizzlies brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Isabel Bolanos was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. Ellie Ream was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

San Lorenzo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

San Lorenzo's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Tennyson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Lorenzo will venture away from home to face off against Mt. Diablo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tennyson, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Berkeley at 4:00 p.m. on April 8.
