Basketball Recap: Bremond Piles Up the Points Against Somerville

There's no place like home for Bremond, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Somerville Yeguas 61-28. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bremond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Morehead, who posted 17 points along with seven boards and six steals. With that strong performance, Morehead is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Jeramiah Morgan was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Bremond smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

The win got Bremond back to even at 6-6. As for Somerville, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bremond Tigers take on the Burton Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bremond is facing Burton at the right time seeing as Burton is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Somerville, they will welcome Mumford at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
