Pomona and Bassett are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2023, but not for long. The Pomona Red Devils will head out to challenge the Bassett Olympians at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pomona is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Pomona came up short against West Covina on Friday, falling 3-0.

While Pomona was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Bassett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Upland.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 20-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Pomona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bassett, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Pomona suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Bassett when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Pomona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
