Volleyball Recap: Hendersonville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Mountain Heritage last Thursday, Hendersonville came back down to earth. The Bearcats fell just short of the Polk County Wolverines by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bearcats have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Polk County scored at least 13 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-27, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Hendersonville lost, don't look at Averie Russell. Despite the final result, she had 33 digs and two aces. Russell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Larson Baris, who had ten digs and two aces.

Hendersonville's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Polk County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Hendersonville nor Polk County have any future games scheduled.
