Basketball Recap: Oakland Christian Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Oakland Christian Lancers didn't have quite enough to beat Detroit International Academy and fell 45-43. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Detroit International Academy are ranked 154th).

Oakland Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Detroit International Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakland Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bishop Foley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Detroit International Academy, they will take on Austin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
