Basketball Game Preview: Compton Early College Rising Phoenix vs. Centennial Apaches

The Compton Early College Rising Phoenix will challenge the Centennial Apaches at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Compton Early College is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Environmental Charter just ended the team's three-game winning streak back in December of 2024. They were outmatched by the White Tigers and fell 70-41.

Centennial played against Inglewood and lost via forfeit.

Compton Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Centennial, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Compton Early College didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Centennial in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory.
