Soccer Game Preview: Central Valley Christian vs. Hanford West

The Central Valley Christian Cavaliers will square off against the Hanford West Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Central Valley Christian came up short against Kingsburg and fell 5-3. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hanford West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Washington Union, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1019th, while the Panthers are ranked 396th).

Central Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Hanford West, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Central Valley Christian took their win against Hanford West in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 6-2. Will Central Valley Christian repeat their success, or does Hanford West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
