Basketball Game Preview: Augusta Red Devils vs. Sacred Heart Rebels

Having just played yesterday, the Augusta Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Sacred Heart Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Augusta sitting on three straight victories and Sacred Heart on five.

On Thursday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Augusta made off with a 48-47 win over Nemo Vista.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart escaped with a win on Tuesday against Bradford by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48.

Augusta's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Sacred Heart, they are also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Augusta beat Sacred Heart 50-40 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Augusta since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
