Softball Recap: Bishop Kenny Starts off Right with Win over Bolles

Bishop Kenny gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bolles Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Bishop Kenny let McKinley Spencer and Ava Farnham loose on the outfield. Spencer went a perfect3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Farnham scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, Farnham also posted three hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Margaux Schuh, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Coming up, Bishop Kenny is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Fernandina Beach at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bolles, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bishop Snyder at 5:00 p.m.
