Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bombers vs. Geneseo Blue Devils

The Bloomfield Bombers will head out to take on the Geneseo Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomfield has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three matchups.

Bloomfield will head into Friday's game on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Midlakes on Friday. Bloomfield put the hurt on Midlakes with a sharp 67-45 win. Given the Bombers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Screaming Eagles are ranked 360th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Geneseo ended up a good deal behind Le Roy on Wednesday and lost 41-26. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Oatkan Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Geneseo, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Everything came up roses for Bloomfield against Geneseo in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 67-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloomfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
