Football Game Preview: Pace Patriots vs. Bartram Trail Bears

Pace is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Bartram Trail is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Patriots will host the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pace's defense has only allowed 4.4 points per game this season, so Bartram Trail's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Pace is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 20-7 victory over Niceville. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Eagles are ranked 63rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Amaya Pablo produced another solid effort throwing for 213 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 72 yards on only nine carries. She also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making three total tackles and defending two passes. Pace's leading receiver Emma Sutton was Pablo's top target yet again, picking up 46 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pace's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Maci McGinnis was the leader with two.

Meanwhile, Bartram Trail unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 25-19 to Fletcher.

Although Bartram Trail took the loss, they still got scores from Bralynne McDonald, Lily Holden, and Kianna Khun.

Bartram Trail didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of McDonald and Khun. McDonald got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pace's record is now 15-1. As for Bartram Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
