Basketball Recap: Lake Mary Prep Takes a Loss

Lake Mary Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the First Academy Eagles 48-9. The Griffins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 34-30.

Lake Mary Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for First Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Lake Mary Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 26-25 victory against Trinity Christian Academy on the 30th. As for First Academy, they will head out to challenge Legacy Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Charter's defense has only allowed 25.4 points per game this season, so First Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
