Matthew Sloan Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is East Hickman County's Matthew Sloan, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Sloan's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.

The win (which was East Hickman County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Sloan and East Hickman County will welcome Harpeth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Drew Ray's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Lewis County (184) came into Friday's contest against Zion Christian Academy (10) with a disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings, but Drew Ray wasn't bothered. On Friday Ray rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He has become a key player for Lewis County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

The victory (which was Lewis County's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Ray and Lewis County will take on Summertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Nathan Hobbs Makes It Two for East Hickman County

The second East Hickman County player making an appearance here is Nathan Hobbs, and for good reason. He picked up 21 receiving yards.
