Hampton snaps six-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Hampton Talbots vs. Fox Chapel Foxes
The Hampton Talbots were the 58-55 winner over the Fox Chapel Foxes when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Hampton took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fox Chapel on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Hampton came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Fox Chapel is ranked 219th).
Fox Chapel had a senior duo take command as Will Siegel scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and Jefferson Moorefield-Brown scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The game was Moorefield-Brown's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Asher White was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Hampton's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Fox Chapel, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hampton will finish 2023 at home by hosting Altoona at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Altoona comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Fox Chapel will finish 2023 at home by hosting Taylor Allderdice at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Taylor Allderdice's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
