Basketball Recap: Mandeville Starts off Right with Win over Pope John Paul II

Mandeville had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Pope John Paul II Jaguars by a score of 48-40. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but the Skippers were the better team in the second half.

When it comes to explaining why Pope John Paul II lost, don't look at Reece Arguelles. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-19 to rack up 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Paul Imbraguglio, who posted seven points.
