Recap: Gibbs Eagles vs. Clinton Dragons

The Gibbs Eagles's game on Friday was all tied up 33-33 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clinton. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

When it comes to explaining why Gibbs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zack Turner. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with six assists. Turner is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chase Norman, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Gibbs' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Gibbs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Scott at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Scott is ranked 264th, while Gibbs is ranked 270th). As for Clinton, they will head out on the road to square off against Cumberland Gap at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumberland Gap is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
