Basketball Recap: Guernsey-Sunrise Takes a Loss

Guernsey-Sunrise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the HEM Miners, falling 59-36. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Miners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Guernsey-Sunrise's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for HEM, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Guernsey-Sunrise will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Midwest at 12:30 p.m. on January 11, 2025. HEM will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Saratoga at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. HEM has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
