Basketball Game Preview: Bolton Central Eagles vs. Schroon Lake Wildcats

Bolton Central is 1-8 against Schroon Lake since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bolton Central Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Schroon Lake Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Bolton Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.7 points per game this season.

Bolton Central will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Loudonville Christian, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Bolton Central had just enough and edged Loudonville Christian out 56-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Bolton Central has posted since December 19, 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bolton Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxon Egloff, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Liam Foy, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Schroon Lake's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Monday. They fell just short of Hartford Central by a score of 52-50. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Bolton Central's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Schroon Lake, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Bolton Central beat Schroon Lake 65-57 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bolton Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
