Softball Recap: Marion Center's Undefeated Season over After Ten Games

Marion Center fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against West Shamokin on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Stingers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marion Center fell to 9-1. As for West Shamokin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion Center will venture away from home to challenge Punxsutawney at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Shamokin, they will head out to square off against Homer-Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
