Baseball Game Preview: Wapato Wolves vs. Cashmere Bulldogs

The Wapato Wolves will square off against the Cashmere Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cashmere took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wapato, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Wapato got the win against White Swan by a conclusive 13-6. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Cashmere was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of Naches Valley by a score of 4-2. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Tom McDevitt spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Levi Strutzel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Wapato's victory bumped their record up to 2-9-1. As for Cashmere, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
