Basketball Recap: Myrtle's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Myrtle had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 44-33 win over the Byers Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-37 back in December of 2024.

Myrtle's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Byers, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Myrtle will face off against Pine Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Byers, they will venture away from home to take on Strayhorn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
